Actually the name of this quilt design says it all! This design is an inspiration for any quilter to personalize for anyone or any occasion. I see this as an opportunity to use favorite fabrics as a single clam or parts of it appliqued. Also to rescue embroidered linens that are stained or damaged or to add my own embroidered designs. There are lots of traditional crewel designs that have clam shaped half circle as the base of a Tree of Life or other imaginative fantastical floral designs. These half circles are filled with embroidered fill stitches or motifs that add to the themes of the design. I have found that second hand charity stores usually have used embroidered linens. Indeed one memorable store had a room with stacks of used linens perfect for this. I find that a search on Pinterest of clam quilts results in an amazing variety of this kind of quilt.
This patterns has good illustrations and instructions. Pattern is printed on folded large format paper, with larger easy to read instructions and lots of detailed photos of the quilt.

I’m not a doll maker, so I’m not happy with Dream Like a Unicorn, or Dress Me Doll Pattern. I also wasn’t thrilled with the Play Tent pattern. This package seemed like it was for a juvenile. Scotty to seem negative, but these are my thoughts.
My order was a little more varied than usual, and required checking stock and communicating clearly. Jen began with her rapid response, then Brandy became the point person. She was quick, informative, and correct, making the whole process so much easier.

Great service! I’ve admired this pattern for a while and finally ordered it. I’ve got a lot of low volume and metallic (both gold and silver) fabrics that I’ve been collecting for a while. It will be presents for couple of family members for their Christmas decor this year. They love pillows!

I absolutely love this seller. This fabric is beautiful and versatile. It can be backed with steam a seam, and then fussy cut into hexies where I machine piece them together for an "english paper piecing" look. I have used it in borders. This time I'm fussy cutting this fabric to use as flower centers in an applique. The colors are vibrant as are all fabrics in the Free Spirit lines of fabric. I just love it.

We use these boxes for shipping flyers to conferences because it keeps a regular ream of paper in perfect condition.
